Korean memorial…

This is one of the newer memorials down at the mall. It is really an interesting setup. Some of the individual statues are very lifelike…

Harpers Ferry…

I went to Harpers Ferry a while ago and have several shots I like from that day. This is one I really like for reasons I am not even sure of??? This was done with the Canon 1D  and 17mm f4L.

Hmmm, I thought the Terps wore red????

So I played golf at the goat track yesterday and supposed MD Terps fan Mike Painter shows up in this costume. Friggin disgusting if you ask me. I don’t care if his kid went there for a year or not. He is at MD now and that thing should be burned 🙂

HIDEOUS!!!

One more rolling thunder shot…

Oh yea, there were bikes there. Tons of them. 100,000 the news likes to say but I have no idea how they get to that number. I am cheating here. This shot is with my 40D and was taken 3 years ago. We did not stay long enough this year to see the parade blow by our parking area….

Bucky…

Sifting through the lightroom database I cam across Bucky. Bucky is a beer drinking donkey that lives behind the Buckingham blues bar in Buckingham Florida. This is a great little bar that has live music and some pretty good festivals in the winter. There is a nice outdoor area with a good stage for bands. It is a short but fun bike ride from my Moms place in Ft. Meyers. Usually make the trip there when I am in town. Oddly Bucky seems to like Michelobe Amber Bock…

Waterbury clock tower…

Happy June…. Today I am switching it up a bit. I was up in Ct and took this shot of the clock tower in Waterbury. It is the largest clock in New England and the building used to be the train station. Kinda cool building…. It is easily seen off Interstate 84 if you are driving through Waterbury.

A few bikes….

These two caught my eye. They happened to be in line in front of us for the ride. As usual when the Park police showed up everyone scrambled to get on their bikes and get moving. Those boys have a few separate rides to escort in the day. So given that I never got a chance to talk with the owners of these.  Nice bikes though…. The Fh2 was on scene mode for this and it kinda washed out a little in the corner. I am an idiot and never remember to look at the settings on that little camera. I guess I should just leave it on idiot mode :)…

One ugly dude :)

OK, last shot of me I hope. Donny took this one with the Lumix FH2. I had the Lumix G2 on the mono pod and that was my main rig for the day. It was hot as hell. I brought a pair of shorts with me and like a moron didn’t change them….

Rolling Thunder…….

I rode down to Rolling Thunder with my buddy Donny. We left from The Greenbelt American Legion in Greenbelt MD. This is an excellent place to leave from as they have a police escort all the way to the mall and a parking spot reserved for us down there. I would estimate there were over 500 bikes in the caravan and the park police got us down there in about 20 minutes. This of course is an unheard of time to get down town Washington DC without the police escort so thanks to them :)….. I don’t normally keep the bag on the back rest but today that sucker was loaded with Ice cold Bud Lights and they really hit the spot after walking around the mall for a while… Here is a shot of our bikes lined up ready to go…..
